Compressor Protection Systems
H. A. Phillips & Co’s compressor protection systems transfer liquid refrigerant carry-over (slop over) from the low side of the system back to a vessel of higher pressure in order to protect the mechanical integrity of the compressors. Four basic compressor protection system types are available, all of which economically reclaim the required refrigerating effect and avoid continuous liquid refrigerant buildup in the suction accumulator.
